Juggling BeanbagsJuggling beanbags are the next step in learning to juggle after using juggling scarves. The most popular option among jugglers are premium juggling beanbags. 2.5 inch 120 gram. These balls are a must for any juggler. Especially good for beginners. Special introductory price $4.99 each (sold individually, buy 3 for a set) - this price is good until the first 100 balls sell out Another popular option among jugglers are economy juggling beanbags. 2.5 inch 80 gram. Very economical price. Especially good for beginners. $7.99 for a set of 3 TEMPORARILY OUT OF STOCK The reason why this is so is because they are very forgiving if you don't catch them correctly or if they collide. If they collide in mid air they don't bounce off each other and go flying all over the place like juggling balls. They can also be just barely caught. I caught them by pinching them between two fingers sometimes when I was learning how to juggle. You can't do that with a solid juggling ball. I also found a great page that shows you how to make your own. Of course I have no sewing skills so making my own probably wouldn't be an option. If you're like me you might just want to buy your own. A really good set of beanbags, you should consider Klutz Beanbags. Juggling for the Complete Klutz
comes with 3 beanbags and an instruction manual. This juggling set has been around for 30 years so it has been tried and tested with great success.
If you are not looking to spend a lot of money, there are many economy type juggling beanbags out there. These will be
good if you just aren't sure if you will like juggling and don't want to invest a lot of money into equipment.
There are different types that you can use to juggle. Some of the beginners sets I've seen are very loosely packed, letting your hand easily absorb their impact. Other types and the type that I prefer are more solidly packed. You can get these solidly packed kind here. This solid packing helps eliminate wobbling in the air and travel through the air more like juggling balls. They are still soft though which is nice because they don't move around as much when they collide in the air and they don't roll away when they hit the floor.

Trying to juggle 5 Dube beanbags for the first time...
Clearly I had no control over the beanbags. Over time, your 5 ball cascade will get lower and tighter.
When you start out though, the pattern will probably look something like this! |
